Sussex Tech Adult Education GED Celebration Ceremony

On Tuesday, May 3rd, Sussex County Vocational Technical School District’s Adult Division held a GED Recognition Ceremony to honor students who earned their GED from October 2019 – May 2022. Due to COVID restrictions, a ceremony could not be held in 2020 or 2021.

In all, 42 students had the opportunity to be recognized at this year’s ceremony, which was hosted by our partners at the Seaford District Library.

Guest speakers included Dr. Kevin Carson, Superintendent of the Sussex County Vocational Technical School District and Mrs. Maureen Whelan, Director of Adult and Prison Education for the State of Delaware. Sussex Tech Adult Education holds GED classes in Georgetown, Lewes, Frankford, Seaford, and Laurel.
